I spend a few days every week working from home, and I've had some time to get to know one of our two family cats- Chloe. By get to know I mean, she darts in and out of rooms, waits to attack vulnerable toes, wants to be let in and out of the house every five minutes, and brings various dead things to our back porch. The latest victim- a dead bunny. Grody. She's taken a fancy to sitting on my desk directly in front of me (I think she just wants to creep on me). As soon as I get up for anything, like a glass of water, she darts into my office chair and pretends to sleep like she's been there the whole time. When you do finally approach she doesn't budge unless you force her, then she does this (photo above.) I don't know if her behavior is a sign of too much catnip but I swear she only acts this deranged around me. When everyone gets home it's all cutesy and cuddles... but around me it's "Ha! I have your new clicky pencil and I'm making angry teeth marks on it!"
Here's a pictogram to demonstrate her two personalities: (Feel free to enlarge to further examine)
